There are two levels (at least) of copyright involved in any sound recording:
1) The copyright of the musical work recorded; and
2) The copyright of the sound recording itself.
Sleeping Beauty was composed in 1889 by Tchaikovsky and published late that year by P. Jurgenson. The composer died in 1893. Given these two factors, one can confirm that the work itself is free worldwide. Most of the world bases term of copyright on the lifetime of the author plus a number of years (usually 50 or 70). The US does also, but only for things first published after 1977. Before then, the term is based on date of first publication.
The sound recording is another matter. In the EU, sound recordings issued before November 1963 are free, while those issued after are protected for 70 years after publication. In Canada, recordings issued before 1965 are free while those issued later are likewise under copyright for 70 years from publication. The US statute in this regard is so convoluted that any recording - even a wax cylinder - is potentially under state law (common law) copyright until Jan. 1, 2067. The recording here, typically unidentified, appears to be from the 1990s or later. There is basically no way that it is legal to even be here under any copyright law save that of the Marshall Islands, which has no copyright law. It's an excellent recording but anyone who wants to use it needs to pay the copyright owners.

Hello! Are all these songs in Public Domain? I know Tchaikovsky's songs are in public domain, but are these recordings in public domain too? I would love to use it in a short movie. Please contact me: email@example.com

I love this music, and the quality is great. I was wondering if it would be possible to find out if a couple of these pieces could be used in a behind the scenes video for a short film about a ballerina finding her passion. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks so much!
